Milanesas are a very popular dish from Argentina, where since 2012 they have even had their own day on the calendar: 3 May. That makes it the perfect day to introduce and promote vegan milanesas which, being made exclusively with plant-based ingredients, have a delicate flavour, are cholesterol-free, sustainable and kind to the planet and, above all, to animals.

These vegan milanesas are very tender cutlets, especially if, as here, you use a fluffy seitan, which also soaks up the flavour of the seasonings beautifully thanks to its very mild taste: it is very neutral and lets the seasonings you add penetrate perfectly. This makes them really tasty, with the delicate blend of garlic and parsley in the breading standing out and adding an irresistible toasty, savoury and crunchy touch.

Nutritionally, these vegan milanesas are rich in protein, fibre, lecithin, inulin, alliin, flavonoids, terpenoids, carbohydrates, vitamins A, C and B6; calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, potassium and selenium.
